Thank you for visiting our site. I’ve been a hospice volunteer coordinator for eight years and started in hospice as a volunteer for Cedars-Sinai. Unlike most hospice programs Mission Hospice has created a full-time position solely for the coordinating of volunteers. It makes a huge difference to the care of our patients and allows us to develop a vibrant program that supports the work of dozens of dedicated volunteers.
I believe that hospice volunteering brings out the very best in us. It challenges us to remain calm in incredibly emotional situations, to be non-judgmental in the service of others, and to be kind to ourselves as we grow and develop the skills of selfless giving.
I hope you find all the information you need about becoming a hospice volunteer in these pages. PleaseĀ CONTACT me anytime if you have questions or would like to get started.
Welcome to Mission Hospice,
Guy
